SUMMER EVENTS AT GREGYNOG

 

Monday 4th July 11-3pm. Bonhams Valuation Day

Specialists will be at Gregynog for free auction valuations for pictures, silver and jewellery, works of art, furniture and general antiques. In addition, Bonhams fine art book department will be on hand for advice regarding books and manuscripts.

 

Sunday 24th July, 6pm. Mid Wales Opera Gala

Join the Friends of Mid Wales Opera for their annual summer Gala concert, this year with a Shakespearean theme, featuring young professional soloists and Charlotte Forrest at the piano. Bring a picnic to enjoy in the interval! Tea/coffee available at the Hall. Tickets £16 from Theatr Hafren (01686 614555) or on the door. For information, ring 01686 441027.

 

Bank Holiday Monday 29th August 2.30-5pm Garden Party in support of Welsh Historic Gardens Trust

Enjoy admission to our Grade 1 listed gardens today in support of WHGT. There will be an exhibition of garden photographs from years gone by, and tea and cake served in the Hall. £8/ticket includes garden admission, exhibition and tea and cake. Advance booking recommended please.

 

Sunday 11th September 12noon-4.30pm. Open Doors Day at Gregynog

Gregynog Hall will be open free of charge today as part of the Heritage Open Day initiative. Come and explore the Hall and enjoy the exhibitions on display. Our librarian will be on hand to tell the story of the Hall and those who have lived here. Tea and cake available in the Hall. Courtyard Café also open for lunch and afternoon teas.

 

Sundays : 31st July, 21st August 2.30pm. House Visits!!

Take the opportunity to explore the Hall with our librarian. Discover its history, its heritage, its treasures and the characters who have lived here for over 600 years. £3.50/person. Advance booking recommended. Courtyard Café also open.
