****Friday 19 August 2016****

Globally renowned guitarist Roy Sainsbury’s Plush Jazz Trio bring the summer season of jazz at the Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture in Berriew to a close on Friday 19 August.

Roy Sainsbury is a superb world class guitarist, but more than this, he is a musician, he creates music … that often touches you with its beauty’ wrote Allen Johnson Jnr of Just Jazz Guitar USA.

Roy, joined by Charlie Wright on Tenor Sax and Simon Tebb on Double Bass, will use musical arrangements and variations on the classics of the great singers (Sinatra, Fitzgerald, Holliday, Tony Bennett for example), whilst respecting the melodies.   The museum is thrilled to present the dextrous guitarist who has featured on Humphrey Lyttleton’s Jazz Notes and played with Scott Hamilton, Peanuts Hucko, Tommy White and Don Lusher, as well as Digby Fairweather and Alan Barnes.

Roy Sainsbury’s Plush Jazz Trio will play shortly after doors open at 8pm.  Tickets are £15, and can be bought from the museum, Andrew Logan website (, or in person at R H Bunners, Montgomery.
