Globally renowned guitarist Roy Sainsbury’s Trio return to ALMoS to kick off the summer season of jazz at the Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture in Berriew on Thursday 15 June, after he closed the 2016 season with aplomb.

Roy Sainsbury is a superb world class guitarist, but more than this, he is a musician, he creates music … that often touches you with its beauty’ wrote Allen Johnson Jnr of Just Jazz Guitar USA.

Roy, joined by Charlie Wright on Tenor Sax and Simon Tebb on Double Bass, will use musical arrangements and variations on the classics of the great singers (Sinatra, Fitzgerald, Holliday, Tony Bennett for example), whilst respecting the melodies.   The museum is thrilled to present the dextrous guitarist who has featured on Humphrey Lyttleton’s Jazz Notes and played with Scott Hamilton, Peanuts Hucko, Tommy White and Don Lusher, as well as Digby Fairweather and Alan Barnes.

The Roy Sainsbury Trio will play at 8.15pm, shortly after doors open at 8pm.  Tickets are £12 in advance, £15 on the door, with reductions for under 16’s and free for under 10’s, and can be bought from the Andrew Logan website (, or in person at either the Museum or R H Bunners in Montgomery.
