 EVENTS AT GREGYNOG

 

HERITAGE OPEN DAY 1 September 11am – 4pm

In conjunction with Open Doors, the Hall offers free of charge entry today.  Tours available 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm (includes Hall Tour, Introduction to the Garden & Treasures of the Library) – advance booking required for these please.  Come along and enjoy access to rooms not normally open to the public, exhibitions or play our piano and soak up the country house atmosphere.   Lunches and afternoon teas also available.

 

BRITTEN RESIDENCY WITH MID WALES OPERA

4-6 September (Wednesday afternoon-Friday lunchtime)

Enjoy a few days in the beautiful environment of Gregynog Hall discovering the operas of one of the country’s greatest composers.  Nicholas Cleobury and Mid Wales Opera bring together a stellar cast of speakers, singers and musicians.  Includes a trip to the premiere performance of MWO’s new production of Albert Herring at Theatr Hafren. The highly subsidised rate of £195 includes all meals and two nights accommodation and ticket to the performance.  More details and full programme from Gregynog.

 

HISTORY OF THE HALL TOUR 6 October 2.30pm

The last Tour of 2013 so advance booking is highly recommended.   Our resident librarian will outline the history of the Hall and it’s place in welsh culture.  £3/person.  Lunches and afternoon teas available.

 

HALLOWEEN GHOST HUNT 31 October 7pm

Enjoy a gourmet buffet and then tour the Hall in the company of expert ghost-hunters from Mid Wales Paranormal looking for the unexpected !  Bring torches, cameras and recording equipment.  £45/person.  Advance booking essential.
